I have been Chaplain to Sainsbury’s in Harpenden since May 2015. On a day-to-day basis I am based at High Street Methodist Church, Harpenden and also serve Batford Methodist Church. As a Deacon my church ministry focuses on service and pastoral care. It is lovely to be able to also use these gifts and experience outside the framework of the local church in the workplace – with staff at Sainsburys.

I am a Church of England priest and was commissioned Senior Chaplain, Waterways in March 2015 by Bishop Alan, Bishop of St Albans. Before this appointment I led churches in Surrey, Birmingham and Plymouth while at the same time, in partnership with local councils, established resources like debt counseling and ‘Street Angels’.

Prior to the priesthood I was a regular army officer and continue my ministry to the military as chaplain to the Royal Yeomanry.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming, working out at the gym and horse riding – with more enthusiasm than skill!

Revd Barbara Johnson is an Anglican Priest in the Church of England. She has been Service Chaplain to the Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service since 2006.

I am a Church of England priest and, bringing almost 20 years’ experience of chaplaincy. Since January 2014 I have been Senior Chaplain at London Luton Airport. In addition to myself, the Airport Chaplaincy team consists of 11 assistant chaplains including a Rabbi and an Imam.

I am a Methodist Minister and a part time chaplain to the Grosvenor Casino Luton. My role finds me in the gaming areas and behind the scenes, chatting to many of the 160 staff and providing a ‘listening ear’ when needed. The Rank Organisation funded this chaplaincy as a pilot at its Luton casino for over four years, with the aim of giving staff access to someone completely independent who can act as a sounding board for any personal or work-related issues that may be troubling them. I have been there since 2009, made possible with recent funding from the Methodist Church.

As well as being a Casino Chaplain I am part time Training Coordinator for the South Beds Methodist Circuit, have pastoral oversight at the Wigmore Church and assess Business Administration apprentices for Luton Adult Learning.

In my spare time I love to be creative, especially making clothes, and am attempting to launch an ethical clothing line, including interesting clerical shirts!
