Could you be a Waterways chaplain?

Waterways Chaplaincy aims to supplement the work of local churches by supporting those involved in any way with life on our canals and rivers.

This is an ecumenical work, with volunteer chaplains being both ordained and lay. No experience of boating is needed as training is given.

Waterways Chaplaincy are currently expanding their network into South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Southwell & Nottinghamshire region. They’re holding an information evening on 7 June at St Botolph’s (Church Hall, Church Lane, Saxilby, LN5 7PM). The evening will start at 7pm.

If you are interesting in becoming a volunteer waterways chaplain or would like someone to talk to your church group about our work, please contact:

Debbie Nouwen (Deputy National Waterways Chaplain – North of England & Midlands) by email or on 07909149664.
